Golden King Crab Cluster

Golden King Crab (Ibara-gani) comes from deep, cold waters off Hokkaido, Japan, and is caught in far smaller numbers than red king crab, rare enough to be known locally as the "phantom crab." The meat is snow-white, sweet and tender, coming away from the shell with almost no effort. It runs smaller in size than red king crab, with a milder, more delicate sweetness in the meat.
