Flor de Sal Salt

Often described as the “cream of salt,” Flor de Sal consists of delicate, exceptionally white crystals that form naturally as a thin layer on the surface of salt pans. Traditionally called “curd” by the marnotos (salt-pan workers), it resembles the cream that rises to the surface of milk.

Collected by hand each day in traditional salt pans, Flor de Sal is a 100% natural product with no additives or washing. Its natural mineral content enhances the flavour of food, making it ideal for finishing dishes and seasoning just before serving.
